YouTube Wrapped is designed to be privacy‑first. The Chrome extension processes your YouTube watch history locally in your browser. Your data does not leave your device unless you explicitly choose to share a results link.
• Your YouTube watch history, read from YouTube while you use the extension, is processed locally to compute insights (e.g., top creators, streaks, rabbit holes).
• Optional: If you choose to create a shareable link, an encoded version of the results is stored to generate a short URL.
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not collect personal information like your Google account email or password.
• We do not transmit your raw watch history to our servers without your action.
Creating a shareable link is optional. If enabled, your results data is encoded and stored only to serve that link. You can delete or regenerate links at any time if the product provides that control. Avoid sharing sensitive information when posting links publicly.
